About the Business
Where are R.T.J Decking and Fencing? We are based on the outskirts of Gravesend, close to the A2, and as such, are ideally situated to serve Gravesham, Dartford, Bexley and Medway Towns. Rob initially spent the best part of 20 years in I.T, but left all that behind him to work at his family's timber business; R.I.C Hemmings Timber Merchant Ltd. He spent a further eight years there, jokingly referring to himself as the world's oldest apprentice; watching, listening and learning carpentry and joinery skills from his father, a retired joiner and cabinet maker.
During this time, he discovered a passion for building with timber; in particular Decking and garden structures. Tracey is a full-time, devoted mother to our little miracle, Joseph. She is the one who keeps me focused and on track, and makes sure Joseph grows up to be a nice, well mannered little boy.
