About the Business

Walker Timber and Fencing Centre is a locally run family business based in Birkby, Huddersfield. Now run by Mark and Michelle Walker the fourth generation of Walkers who took over from Marks father Richard and mother Liz who retired after heading the firm for well over 30 years. Originally started in the 1930s by Mark's great grandfather Joseph, the business has gone from strength to strength to become one of Huddersfield's premier specialist Timber outlets. Based at Spinkfield Road, Huddersfield, the timber yard stocks a wide verity of goods from fence panels & trellis, tanalized fencing, rails & posts, grooved decking and sleepers, planed & sawn white & red woods, floor & skirting boards, sheet materials plaster and plasterboards, insulation, concrete posts and all the tools and fixings you need to do the job!

A new addition to the product range are the very popular European panels which can be purchased from our timber yard.
